Alpine World Ski Championships - Sweden 2007

In February 2007, the world ski championships will take place in Åre, Sweden. The event runs from the 3rd to the 18th of February in 2007. During these two weeks, 350 athletes from 60 nations will compete on the slopes of Åre, for 10 individual titles and one team title. The small town of Åre will welcome about 100 000 visitors for this big event!

Åre has hosted 71 World Cup races and has a popular local ski club and community. Easy access to the town: Flights will be available to Östersund and Trondheim. High-speed trains make the journey Åre to/from Stockholm as short as five hours.
