British Airways Canceling 1,300 Flights
Friday January 26, 2007
TRAVEL UPDATE - British Airways will not operate any domestic and European flights to and from London/Heathrow and London/Gatwick next Tuesday and Wednesday because of a strike by cabin crew. The dispute is over pay and staffing. Thus, the airline had to cancel 1,300 flights, affecting more than 150,000 passengers booked to fly with BA during the two strike days.
BA has set up a free phone number for flight bookings: 0800 727 800. Any BA customers affected by the 1,300 cancellations next week can
- claim a full refund,
- rebook their flight for a later date
- or be rebooked by British Airways with another airline.
