Scandinavian Airlines: Strike Cancels Flights

Thursday May 24, 2007
SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) reported earlier today that almost all its international and domestic flights in and out of Sweden tomorrow will be canceled (up to 300 flights). This comes as a result of the cabin crew union strike. Please make sure to call SAS to check if your flight has been canceled - some flights to the US and to Asia are still departing as planned.

SAS strike updates and contact information for refunds/flight information are available here.

Scandinavian Airlines state that they will decide on Saturday's flights tomorrow. Some flights, to the US and Asia, and some domestic flights will however go ahead as normal, SAS said. The airline's chief executive Mats Jansson said the strike will cost the airline 20 millon Swedish Kroner per day.
