Terrorist Arrests in Scandinavia
Police believe the men are connected to Al-Qaeda. Denmark's national intelligence service PET stated that they had "prevented a terrorist attack" with the arrests made in Copenhagen. Leader figures from Al-Quaeda were part of the group of eight that was arrested.
After months of planning, Danish Police raided 11 homes earlier today and were able to confiscate incriminating documents and materials.
Meanwhile, in Norway three men have been charged with terrorist activities: attacking a synagogue in Oslo, Norway, and planning to attack the U.S. or Israeli embassies in Oslo, as stated by the national prosecutor earlier today. A date for the court trial is expected to be set soon.
