Scandinavia: World's Best in Accessible Travel

Wednesday February 27, 2008
Scandinavia offers accessible travel and handicap/disability amenities like no other travel destination and has been rated as the world's best destination for traveling with disabilities. Scandinavia also leads the world regarding places accessible by wheelchair.

Accessible travel in Scandinavia means virtually no limitations on where travelers with disabilites can go, what they can do and see. There's easy access to Swedish shopping centers, hotels, and public transportation services. Norway has dedicated train compartments among other related services. Denmark tries to top all that by adding an easy search for accessible places (sights, beaches, parks, camping, sports, etc.) using 7 different disablities.

So, if you're considering Scandinavia but have special needs, learn more about Accessible Travel in Scandinavia here.
