Photo of the Week: Horsens Medieval Festival

Wednesday August 27, 2008
If you want a great show, don't miss the upcoming European Medieval Festival in Horsens, Denmark (August 29th & 30th). Admission is always free which makes it even more popular. Here's a knight seen at one of the many entertaining shows at this annual event:

Fun Fact: At the European Medieval Festival, there are no plastic drinking cups. You'll be drinking from handmade medieval cups instead, just so everything goes with the decoration and surroundings.

Wow! That is so cool!! I have to tell my nephew who lives in Germany about this; if he can, he’d love to go (as would I!)!

What an incredible photo!

We go to our local Renaissance festival every year - my husband brings his pewter tankard so he can imbibe authentically.

Looks exciting and dangerous — especially for the horse. Are the drinking goblets for souvenirs then or are they good for regular drinking?

The goblets are meant for actual use - they’re sold with the drinks.
