Photo of the Week: Winter Nights in Reykjavik
Wednesday November 26, 2008
On a dark and clear winter night, one can be lucky enough to enjoy the Aurora Borealis when looking at Reykjavik. In the center of the photo, you can see Hallgrimskirkja Church which is one of Reykjavik's top attractions. This church is Iceland's 4th tallest structure and you can go up to the viewing platform on top of the tower for a panoramic birds-eye view of the Icelandic capital.

There are three places and things I want to do before I die … and seeing the Northern Lights is on the top of that list.
How amazing. My dad has stories about seeing the Northern Lights as a child…I’ve always wanted to see them for myself.
Wow! I have never seen anything like that before! It looks surreal… and beautiful!
What a beautiful photograph! It really makes me wish I was there.
Cool photo! But it does look like aliens are arriving. Mmhm?
