Skiing in Norway

Thursday December 4, 2008
Skiing in Scandinavia - Michael PontonThis weekend, you can find me in Geilo, one of Norway's most popular ski areas. The ski area Geilo lies in southern Norway, at the foot of Hardangervidda - the opening to Northern Europe’s largest mountain plateau.

Geilo is actually a great Norwegian destination year-round, but definitely famous for its winter sports activities. Here, visitors can go skiing, snowboarders can revel in three terrain parks, others enjoy various sledding activities for all ages. And don't forget that Geilo and Hardangervidda have excellent kite-skiing conditions!
