Reykjavik Culture Night & Marathon

Two events in one day take place in the Icelandic capital on August 20 2011. The Reykjavik marathon takes place on the streets of Reykjavik. Participants compete for prize money in a regular marathon, a half-marathon, and a 10 km race.

That same evening, the Reykjavik Cultural Night comes with lots of entertainment and activities, e.g. art exhibitions, concerts, fireworks, Icelandic dance performances, and even fairs. Reykjavik's nightlife takes advantage of that - pubs and restaurants stay open longer.
