The Biggest Christmas Market

By November 19, 2013

Follow me on:

The biggest of all Christmas markets in Scandinavia is the one at the Liseberg park in Gothenburg, Sweden. With 5 million Christmas lights the Swedes sure know how to lighten up the holiday season! A great sight.

Liseberg is an almost 80-year-old amusement park and the Christmas market is wonderfully romantic. I like to stroll through the design and crafts market where you can buy gifts and accessories of all kinds - it is wonderful to soak up the Christmas spirit this event provides. Scents from the mulled wine and hot almonds can make you hungry, and you can have some of the Christmas specialities for lunch or dinner at the restaurants located there.

If you are visiting Gothenburg, definitely put this on your list as part of the things to do in Gothenburg - or learn more about Swedish Christmas traditions!
