The Viking Festival is an annual festival in Hafnarfjordur, Iceland, where you can see Viking-style costumes, musical instruments, jewelry and crafts at the Viking Village. Visitors at the Viking Festival see sword fighting (by professional Vikings!) and demonstrations of marksmanship with bows and muscle power. You can listen to Viking songs and lectures at the festival, or grab a bite at the Viking Restaurant nearby. It's one of the most popular annual events in Iceland.

The event location is the Viking Village in Hafnarfjordur, just south of Reykjavik.
How to Get to the Viking Festival in Hafnarfjordur:
Bus S1 goes back and forth between Hafnarfjordur and Reykjavík in 20-minute intervals. The bus station in Hafnarfjördur is very close to Viking Village/Fjorukrain. If you want to drive from Reykjavik to the festival, simply go about 6 miles southwest on road 42 (toward Keflavik Airport).
