This annual event in Iceland's capital Reykjavik actually consists of two events: the Culture Night in Reykjavik, and the Reykjavik Marathon. They take place on the same day on the third weekend in August, and combined they make up the city's most popular event.
Reykjavik Cultural Night itself attracts more than 100,000 visitors from all over the world each year, walking through the city streets. This Iceland event offers numerous types of entertainment and activities, e.g. art exhibitions, concerts, fireworks, Icelandic dance performances, and even fairs.
At the same time, Reykjavik's nightlife takes advantage of the Culture Night and pubs and restaurants stay open longer.
