All About the Øyafestivalen in Oslo

A great four day long music-festival kicks off in the medieval park in Oslo, Norway. Featuring a great line-up of bands and musicians from around the world, this festival embraces the very best of rock and indie music.

The festival event of the Øyafestivalen in Oslo is held at the Medieval Park (Middelalderparken) in Norway's capital, and boasts a lively atmosphere that attracts music fans of all ages.

The park is a 10 minute walk from Oslo Central Station. Get there by tram/bus #18 and #19, as well as buses #34, #45, #46, #70 and #85 (these run from the Central Station to the Medieval Park in about three minutes). Make sure to get off at St Halvards Plass.

Aside from the music, festival visitors can expect a whole host of other activities ranging from a festival market to political debates. The Øyafestivalen website offers a full festival program prior to and during the event. Tickets are around NOK 1,250 and sell out fast every year.
