So you're traveling to Copenhagen, Denmark, and might be interested in a sightseeing tour? Take one of these interesting tours for travelers - I have found them to be the best guided tours in Copenhagen and think they offer sightseeing at its best. I also like that the tour operators offer payment in USD, EUR, AUD and GBP.
1. The Grand Tour of Copenhagen
The Grand Tour of Copenhagen covers all the major sights of the Danish capital in my opinion. Traveling in a comfortable bus on this tour, I visited Amalienborg Palace (the winter residence of the Danish Royal Family), the Little Mermaid in the harbor, and much more.
Tour departs daily year-round from City Hall Square (in front of the Palace Hotel).
2.5 hours. Tour price about $38 USD / £27 GBP.
2. The Hamlet Castle Tour from Copenhagen
Listen to old tales of Shakespeare at Elsinore Castle, see Queen Margrethe's summer castle Fredensborg and bring your camera to photograph the beautiful nature of the Danish Riviera. This tour was really interesting, I thought, and I like that it brings you close to Denmark's history. After the Grand Tour of Copenhagen shown above, this is one of the best guided tours in Denmark I've been on and a great value for the price. Departs daily in summer, 3 times weekly in winter.
5 hours. Tour price about $69 USD / £48 GBP.

3. "Copenhagen - Sweden - Bornholm" Full Day Trip
So either you've seen Copenhagen before, or maybe you have an extra day during your trip. This is a long one, plan 14 hours for it. You will see A LOT of typical, idyllic Denmark on this tour. It will take you by bus over the Oresund Bridge to Sweden and provides a scenic ferry ride to Bornholm. Enjoy the historic cities of Rønne and Hammershus before heading to a waterfront restaurant for lunch. After that, the tour takes you to Gudhjem, famous for its picturesque windmills, brewery and quaint fishing harbor. One of the best guided tours ever.
Around $104 USD / £65 GBP for 8-hours of escorted trip and transportation.

4. The "Hop On Hop Off" Bus Tour of Copenhagen
What a unique way to see Copenhagen. This guided tour "guides" visitors to each attraction in Copenhagen. You can hop on and off as many times as you want, on this fun-to-ride open-top double-decker bus - and we did it all day long! Each of the three routes offered takes about an hour. The Hop On Hop Off ticket is valid for 24 hours from first use, for all routes and as many rides to sights as you want to see.
Variable tour length. Sightseeing bus ticket price for 24 hours is around $26 USD / £18 GBP.

5. A Guided Tour Using the Copenhagen Card (CPHCard)
I love these cards. The Copenhagen Card can serve visitors nicely as a low-cost tour guide: it includes a comprehensive guide of Copenhagen and gives travelers free local transportation, free admission to sights and attractions (for example, more than 60 museums are free!), and many other traveler-related discounts. Free transportation includes getting to and from the airport and discounts on car rental. Just do it like I did it, and use the tour guide to organize all your free sightseeing trips!
Options: 24 hour CPHCard or 72 hour CPHCard. From $43 USD / £29 GBP.
