To get to Bornholm, travelers have two options. The quick one is to fly to Rønne-Bornholm Airport, which is a direct, 35-minute flight from the Danish capital Copenhagen.
The other option to get to Bornholm is to make reservations on one of the Danish ferry connections which is a good option if you'd like to bring your car. It can be more expensive than flying, though. The ferries operate on a regular schedule between Bornholm and Køge, Denmark (3 hour trip). There are additional ferry connections from Bornholm to Sweden and Germany.

For travelers, Bornholm is a popular summer destination especially because of the long sandy beaches and bicycle paths everywhere. Also, don't miss the local towns' 19th century architecture, Bornholms Museum, and the ruins at Hammershus (depending on the weather in Denmark). You don't need a car on Bornholm - buses, bicycles, and Danish taxis are everywhere.
