The Elvis Museum - aka Rock 'N' Roll Museum - is located in the town of Vejlby Klit in western Denmark. The museum is open during the summer season generally from 11 am to 9 pm. From August 27 - October 11, the opening hours are 11 am - 8 pm every Friday through Sunday (Phone: +45 9783 4914).
If you're an Elvis fan, you'll love this little museum with its extensive colletion of Elvis and Rock 'N' Roll memorabilia. More than 1,000 pieces of memorabilia are part of this museum and while it is focused on Elvis Presley and his career, you will also find pieces from countless other artists (e.g. Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Rolling Stones, James Dean, and Marylin Monroe).
The Rock 'N' Roll Museum in Vejlby Klit has brought together an amazingly varied collection - like Janis Joplin´s ring, Marilyn Monroe´s watch, even Elton John´s tie and Elvis´ first record and guitar can be seen here. So it's not just about Elvis!
Before 2003, the Rock 'N' Roll Museum was known as the Elvis Presley Museum, but the collection required a broader name. Long-time visitors will always remember it as Denmark's Elvis Museum, though.
The place was founded 1994 under the name Elvis Presley museum by Benny Vejlby, a life-long Elvis fan and avid collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia.
Right by the Rock 'N' Roll Museum, there's also the Cafe John Wayne offering visitors refreshments. And if you still don't want to go, I think you're nothing but a hound dog!
