While beaches in Denmark are clothing-optional, the two only exceptions are the Henne Strand beaches and the beach of Holmsland Klit. Henne Strand beach requires clothing, and the wide beach area provides nice waves from the North Sea. As a matter of fact, "Strand" is the Danish word for beach!

Henne is located 40 km north of Esbjerg, Denmark. To get to Henne / Henne Strand from almost any point in Denmark, simply drive toward the west coast of Jutland, and Road 181 will then lead you to Nymindegab/Henne Strand. Follow the signs there to Henne Strand.
