If you're renting a car in Oslo (or in Bergen) and want to drive the 480 km to the other city, know that the faster way is road E16 all the way and it includes going through the world's longest tunnel!However, also consider the drive along roads E134, then 40 and 7, which head out west from Oslo toward Hardangervidda National Park (towns passed: Kongsberg, Nore og Uvdal, Eidfjord.) This route will take half an hour longer, but is very scenic. From Bergen to Oslo, go east on road 7 first, then 40 and E134.
