I do not recommend getting the Pimsleur Danish Audiobook because I feel "Teach Yourself Danish" is a better value and easier to use. This book offers easy step-by-step learning and 2 audio CDs for your trip to Denmark.List price $28.95.

6. Teach Yourself Icelandic
Icelandic can be hard to learn, but this book with 2 audio CDs is probably the best course available. This language book is very nice for Iceland travelers that want to learn to speak and understand the Icelandic language.List price $29.95.

While Finnish is often not considered one of the Scandinavian languages, travelers will still get far speaking it in Scandinavia, especially in parts of Sweden.
