Guide Review - Copenhagen Island Hotel
In the summer of 2006, the Copenhagen Island was opened. It is a state-of-the-art hotel in an exquisite design, with a wonderful view of the harbour. The extraordinary architecture and the many luxurious facilities of Copenhagen Island Hotel make this hotel unique. The hotel, designed by the architect Kim Utzon, is located on an island in the middle of Copenhagen harbour, and offers 326 rooms and meeting facilities for up to 90 persons, as well as a fitness centre, business centre and an exciting restaurant.
The front desk is very helpful in finding out excursions with English publications, arranging transport, and locating easy access public transport sites.
The room accomodations are luxurious and include wonderful plush featherbeds. The Copenhagen Island Hotel offers extra amenties which are in brand new condition: a well equipped gym with free weights, treadmills, and elliptical machines, and a good lap pool with a steam sauna. The towels are in abundance and the facility is well kept.
The restaurant and bar have excellent cooking to offer, but it can get a little bit expensive. The Copenhagen Island Hotel offers several pricing specials: Romantic Weekend, Tivoli Package, Couple Therapy, Room & Dinner Package, as well as weekend rates.
In central location, the Copenhagen Island Hotel is only a short walk from the train station, and near the convention center.
