Guide Review - Review: First Hotels in Scandinavia (Hotel Chain)
First Hotels is a popular Scandinavian hotel chain with 47 hotels in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. What I really like about First Hotels is the variety of locations they offer: Numerous hotels are located in big cities, while many others can be found in quiet, rural areas.

First Hotels have updated many hotel locations with modern hotel designs. I like staying in an unusual room, especially if it is a hotel chain. First Hotels work their Scandinavian design with colorful fabrics and clean lines created with wood and brick.

First Hotels is a chain of modern quality hotels rated 3-4 stars and each offers the amenities most Scandinavia travelers expect: internet service, fax, pet reservations, hotel bars, rooms for the disabled, currency exchange, laundry services, etc. Check-in is at 2:00 pm, check-out at 12:00 pm.

These Scandinavian hotels are kept very clean and offer all common amenities considering the reasonable First Hotel prices). There are even two hotels that have received a five-star rating meanwhile: First Hotel Reisen in Stockholm, and First Hotel Skt Petri in Copenhagen.

Don't get me wrong, this hotel chain won't be suitable for everyone. Travelers looking for consistent luxury hotels may want to look for other hotels in Scandinavia. Also, a disadvantage is the lack of locations in northern Scandinavia, or in Finland and Iceland.

Another advantage with these Scandinavian hotels is the "First Lady" offer, in which female travelers can get a "First Lady" room with free beauty accessories, a secure door, skirt hangers, magazines, slippers, and even a soft bath robe! Let them spoil you, girls.

First Hotels in Scandinavia also offer a points program called "First Member". You get bonus points towards extra benefits, which is always nice.
