Started in 1998, the Stockholm Pride week in late July is now the highlight of the year for many gays, lesbians and transgenders. It is the largest event for GLBT in Scandinavia. There are many international performers, activities, and other events to keep you busy.

2. Copenhagen Pride Festival

Each year in August, Copenhagen Pride attracts visitors from Scandinavia and many other countries, inviting them to the Copenhagen Pride Week, held in Denmark's capital since 1996. Copenhagen Pride offers visitors many GLBT activities (e.g. an open air film event), happening mainly in the center of Copenhagen. The Pride Square Café is the social hot spot at this pride event.

3. Oslo Pride Festival

The so-called "Skeive Dager Oslo" are Oslo's annual GLBT event and the largest pride festival in Norway. The Oslo Pride week takes place in late June in Norway's capital and offers a film festival, concerts, workshops, exhibitions, and much more free entertainment!

4. Reykjavik Gay Pride

The Reykjavik Gay Pride is one of the fastest growing pride events in the world, with over 50,000 visitors annually. It always takes place in the second week of August in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik. Reykjavik's Gay Pride can be enjoyed in the entire city area of Reykjavik, and useful VIP passes give access to all events.

5. Bergen Gay Pride (Discontinued)

Almost as large as the Oslo Pride Festival, Bergen Gay Pride used to create a lively and colorful atmosphere in the Norwegian town. Bergen is a beautiful city at any time, but each May it would come alive with countless interesting events, activities, and performances...unfortunately, the event has been discontinued until further notice.

6. Malmo Rainbow Festival

Each year in September, thousands of GLBT visitors and Swedish locals join in the celebrations of the Malmo Rainbow Festival ("Regnbågsfestivalen"). Malmo's Rainbow Festival starts with a bang - the kick-off party is a big attraction for many gays, lesbians, bis and transgenders (GLBT). This annual pride event includes the Malmo Pride Parade, 10 days of exhibitions, performances & dance nights, as well as non-stop drag shows!

7. Helsinki Pride Week

Taking place every year in late June, the Helsinki Pride Week in Finland's capital is the largest pride event in the country. The Helsinki pride event is a major summer event attracting thousands of GLBT visitors with exhibitions, workshops, crafting, discussion groups, parades and many other activities and events for gays, lesbians and transgender!
