The solar eclipse of 2008 will be a total eclipse taking place on August 1, 2008.

A total solar eclipse means that the sun is fully hidden behind the moon. The solar eclipse on the morning of August 1, 2008 will be visible beautifully from northern Scandinavia - especially in Greenland, Iceland (partial), and the Faroe Islands (partial).

The 2008 solar eclipse is one of the "midnight sun eclipses" which indicates that the solar eclipse is visible from the Artic regions that experience the Midnight Sun phenomenon, like northern Scandinavia.

Times to see the 2008 solar eclipse on the morning of August 1 from Scandinavian regions are as follows, according to NASA:

If you're not in the right place at the right time for the solar eclipse on August 1 2008, don't worry. You can also experience three other natural phenomena in Scandinavia that occur throughout the year.
